Beyond the Box
Research Assistants, Chris Medina and Leyla Martinez, were featured in a news report released by the U.S. Department of Education entitled, “Beyond the Box: Increasing Access to Higher Education for Justice-Involved Individuals.” They also provided their input to the Department and were invited to the release of the report at UCLA. Chris and Leyla are two of the first students to ever provide input and be featured on a report such as this.
